Service scope

MSB Desk provides professional consulting, company formation coordination, FINTRAC registration support and compliance program development. FINTRAC does not charge an MSB registration fee; website prices are MSB Desk professional fees.

Separate frameworks

FINTRAC registration under Canada’s anti-money-laundering framework and Bank of Canada registration under the Retail Payment Activities Act are separate regimes with different scope and obligations. We assess the relevant route against each client’s planned activities.

Project assessment

Eligibility, project timing and the required work depend on the business model, owners, documentation and regulatory review. The final scope is confirmed after the initial assessment.
